Help on using Xiaomi DGNWG05LM as zigbee2mqtt coordinator ( without soldering )

Hi guys ,

I have an Xiaomi DGNWG05LM which i would like use it as coordinator

What I gather from the below links is that it is no longer possible to access dev mode
from the Mi app and that we must use alternate OpenWRT firmware but the instruction
have mentioned soldering contacts to UART 2 USB adapter !

I do not like to open and solder devices . So I am asking for help if there is a way to achieve
this without opening the device or soldering .

Any advice for a quick and dirty solution is appreciated and if this cant be done without soldering then please just say it is not possible ( advice on other zigbee coordinator HW is not necessary )

Just a note that final aim is to use the hub to control few devices like E1525

I wanted to do the same thing and the link you provided to gain root access worked great, so thank you very much. I only needed to solder 3 wires (which I desolder afterwards) and now I have it running with openwrt using this UART to USB adapter ( Model: CH340E Ch340n /ch9340c Usb 2.0 To Ttl Module Alternative Cp2104 Cp2102 Pl-2303hx Ht42b534 Ft232rl Ch340e Supprt Linux/mac/windows Otg - Integrated Circuits - AliExpress )
