Help please! SONOFF ZBDongle-P USBTTY0 failed set request error

Hi, Can anyone help with this error I get periodically on my Zigbee dongle?
Virtualbox reports it cannot connect the USB.
There is no physical movement of the device causing a disconnect.
If I look at devices after noticing my Zigbee is down, the device is connected in VirtualBox.
ZHA tells me the coordinator isn’t connected. If I restart the integration it fails to load.

A reset of the virtual machine fixes the issue without any replugging of the USB dongle.

Hi,

I’ve now bought a SKy Connect hoping the Sonoff hardware was the issue.
I’m still having the same errors and my smarthome is now failing the partner test…

My next step would be a complete reinstall but I really hope I can avoid that.
Any suggestions?
Now I know it’s not the coordinator, I hope I can isolate it to:
-HA config
-Virtualbox
-Hardware (host laptop) fault

Same problem here.

My issue is with a Sonoff Zigbee 3.0 USB Dongle Plus running on VirtualBox 6.1, HA 2023.12.4.

I have dropped the cores assigned to the the VM to 1 and have not had the error- maybe try this @skalache

I can’t remember which thread now but found someone had a similar error which they attributed to a Linux kernel error running over multiple cores.

I am using an 8th gen i5 8250u.

So my Sonoff dongle was probably fine after all.
