Hi, I’d like to setup a Sonoff ZBMINIL2 for my light switch. Sadly I’m not familiar enough with wiring switches, so I’d like some help with it.
It’s a classic ON/OFF switch, with ON when pressed on the top side. The same light bulb is connected to another switch. Looking at the following photo, how should I connect the wires to the Sonoff? Thanks.
You have 2 options:
Add another live wire going to the relay behind the switch
Convert or replace existing switch to retractive switches and refer to this wiring. Don’t forget to change the switch mode
Let’s make it simpler, I want to ignore the existence of the second wall switch. So the setup is the switch in the photo and the Sonoff.
How would I wire it?
From that photo and description nobody can answer.
First make sure the existing switch is switching L (sometimes you find switches on N).
Find the wire that is coming from breaker (always hot) an find the wire that is going to light.
