Can anyone assist with my setup problems with Android Auto and the home assistant companion app etc…?
I connected the phone to the car system (Android Auto) enabled the sensors in the companion app, changed the frequency update times to 1 min for testing. And the sensors worked, the valuses show in the companion app.
Then i started the car, and all i get in unavailable, no further connection or information is seen or discovered or reported.
I can’t get any information to any sensors now and all say unavailable.
The help section states to:
The sensors listed below describe the state of the car for a few different data points. Currently this is only available for Android Auto. These sensors may not provide data depending on your phone and/or car software. If you see a state of unknown check the status attribute to see the reason for why it has no data.
and
Note that you need to start the Home-Assistant app on your Android Auto screen each time that you connect the phone to the car to allow these sensors to work (once started, you can dismiss the app). If the app is not started the state will be unavailable
I am at a loss on why i cant get it to work anyone got any idea on why?
