Hi all, completely new to ha!
I have installed HA on a laptop using virtual box. Working my way through what I need to get installed now, and I am stuck with getting hacs working. I have been following a youtube video (HOW TO - Install HACS 2023 (Complete Guide) - YouTube) and when I copy and paste the following commands into the terminal
wget -O - https://get.hacs.xyz | bash - or
wget -O - https://raw.githubusercontent.com/hac… | bash -
I get the error wget: unable to resolve the host address ‘raw.githubusercontent.com’
I am using advanced SSH + web terminal add on

Can you get to the links outside of the HA VM?

Yes I can access both links outside of the VM
Then I would start by looking at the IP settings for the VM to make sure it actually has internet connectivity. Unfortunately, I’m not familiar enough with VirtualBox to help so maybe some else can help out here.

If anyone else is having the above issue, I revisited the network adapter settings in SSH advanced terminal and just hit the dropdown for the network adapter on my system, changed it then changed it back to where it was and saved it.
I did not get the previous error and now have Hacs installed.
Os the video I linked is a good tutorial for newbies like me.
