I have problems with my everything presence sensor pro. Specifically the Occupancy sensor never switching off.
The reason being that mmWave Presence as well as the static Presence sensors always say detected, even when there is nothing around.
Even with Static Presence Sensor Enable turned off, all the sensitivity settings on zero, it refuses to clear.
In the zone configurator add on (app) it shows no targets and Tracking Presence is on Clear.
I have tried rebooting, power cycling, reflashing the firmware via browser and still I have the same problem.
Has anyone had similar problems and can point me in the right direction?
To rule out something in the room causing the trigger, drop the sensor in a box (opaque) and monitor the logs for a few minutes. I had to do this with a sensor (admittedly not a MMW) that was being triggered by reflections off the light coming in a window JUST right. At least thats what I’m saying it was.
By removing air currents and any possibility of light causing one of the other sensors to go off, you can at least rule out the device. I actually JUST did this with my neighbors drive way light as well. Something in their fixture would move with the breeze (webs likely) and trigger the motion sensor.
Basically this is a simple troubleshooting process. Start at one end of the chain, and test everything til you find what isnt working. The simplest end of the chain is the sensor end (usually).
After flashing it I left it in my office as the living room space is quite large and I have pets.
In the office it’s staring at a corner of an outdoor wall. Nothing is moving there and there are no electronics either. I’d rule out any interference in that area.
The sensor is still on detected all through the night.
You need to post any detailed and/or specific information regarding your setup/wiring, seeing your code/config would be helpful, also seeing the lpg outputs that show whenever these false positive triggers are happening, etc etc… Just posting a short novel as your question isn’t really all that helpful or even relevant information. We need specific facts/data/logs/pictures/ product links/etc that are for your project right now.
