Hi everyone I am new to the group and HA.
I have been watching lots of Youtube videos on how to add bits of software but struggling. Everyone I watch have more tabs that I don’t have on the HA Green Core system. Like Add-ons doesn’t show and when they go into HACS Integrations and click on the 3 dots a setting isn’t there.
Then when I finally find a bit of software I want I try the link the person has created to load it into HACS it just goes back to the same page with the link. Not loading it into HACS it’s self. Hope all of this makes some sense to someone.
I have spent the last week trying to sort this out and getting no where.
First things to be aware of is HA moves on fast with many changes. lately there have been many changes to the UI. This will often render youtube stuff out of date very quickly. Anything over a few months old may lead you i a direction no longer available.
As ever read the Docs first, they will be up to date, then cross reference with youtube and alike if you feel the need.
If after that you are still having issues then the people here will be more than willing to help but we need some info before we can help. so read this and give us some clues to your issue and we will help. We have all been there and really want to help you.

You are running Core on a Green. That would take quite some effort to accomplish, are you sure you are doing that? All versions of HA are running the Core component in some way, but running Core bare on a linux system is a deprecated method and is no longer supported for some months now.
Can you do this for us so we understand better?
The correct documentation is usually in written format. YouBoob videos don’t have an expiry date and are not taken down when they become obsolete. Search engines don’t classify obsolete information as such.
This is a common trap for neophytes.
Then they turn to ChatGPT and get even more hopelessly confused, as that often regurgitates outdated information.
Home automation is a fast moving field. HomeAssistant changes usually happen weekly and monthly, and sometimes even more often, and release notes often are the best source of changes and updates.
Best go back to the vendor documentation. Usually correct and up to date.
HACS can be difficult to install if every step is not followed closely and accurately.
