Help with new Addon

Is anybody able to assist me in getting Bitfocus Companion running as an addon?

I followed all the steps in the creating an addon guide; but it will not appear in my addons list. I can see my old one I made years ago, but the new one doesnt appear. I am not sure whats missing or what ive done differently this time (I even updated everything to the newer yaml style)

I am trying to get the companion addon to work.

Where you able to make any progress on this project. I was planning to do the same thing but also lack the experience to create an addon.
