Help with Sonoff Bridge with Tasmota

Think i’ve bitten off more than I can chew and I need some help.

I’ve bought a Sonoff Bridge pre-flashed with Tasmota, running the latest version - 9.4.0. It’s on my network and I can access the web interface fine.

Using parts of this guide (which now seems a bit out of date) I’ve attempted to get Home Assistant to add it through the ZHA integration. And this is where I get stuck.

The guide I linked says to change the TCP port to 8888 - the bridge didnt seem to like that command so i factory reset it, and access the web interface on port 80. The config reports MQTT using 1883. I’ve tried various combinations of ports, port speeds etc but it can never connect.

I think my ignorance of zigbee is also a problem. I assumed that this device would be the ‘broker’ and HA would talk to it to get updates when sensors change state. Is that correct? Or do I need to install a broker on my HA and point this bridge to it?

Any help would be much appreciated!

I have done digiblurDIY everything works

has it got the tasmota-zbbridge.bin on it

also i would do the

ncp-uart-sw ota file again

Im thinking if the 8888 not working do you do the

backlog rule1 on system#boot do TCPStart 8888 endon ; rule1 1 ; template {“NAME”:“Sonoff ZHABridge”,“GPIO”:[56,208,0,209,59,58,0,0,0,0,0,0,17],“FLAG”:0,“BASE”:18} ; module 0

Brilliant thank you @myle - my mistake was making assumptions about how this works. Went back through the guide step by step without skipping bits I thought weren’t necessary as its pre-flashed and now my HA can see it.
