Help with ubuntu

Hi
I am running HA in a NUC ubuntu docker following this instructions.

Lately I had problem to watch movies from Stremio so today I tried to fix it (ha ha)
So I tried the following commands (among several tries like uninstall stremio, its addons etc)

sudo apt install ubuntu-restricted-extras

sudo apt-get dist-upgrade

I think the last one cause the below problem

There is a red notification in ubuntu desktop which prompts me to check - udpate (?) not sure

I am getting the following which makes me afraid that something is wrong with HA ?

E: Could not open lock file /var/lib/dpkg/lock-frontend - open (13: Permission d enied)
E: Unable to acquire the dpkg frontend lock (/var/lib/dpkg/lock-frontend), are y ou root?
makis@makis-NUC7PJYH:~$ apt-get update
Reading package lists... Done
E: Could not open lock file /var/lib/apt/lists/lock - open (13: Permission denied)
E: Unable to lock directory /var/lib/apt/lists/
W: Problem unlinking the file /var/cache/apt/pkgcache.bin - RemoveCaches (13: Permission denied)
W: Problem unlinking the file /var/cache/apt/srcpkgcache.bin - RemoveCaches (13: Permission denied)

Can someone tell me how to fix this?

try

sudo apt update && sudo apt upgrade && sudo apt autoremove

all together or one by one (sorry but I am not a linux user)

You can run that as a single line and it’ll run the commands one after another.

I did a mistake so I apply the command twice.
Now I am stuck in the picture. It happened before and I dont know how to accept in order to proceed.

just hit enter, or if “OK” is not highlighted, hit the down arrow until it is and then hit enter.

ok. the red notification its gone!
how can I check that everything is ok?

none of those packages look like they’d affect HA. you can check logs in HA, but any errors there are likely unrelated to updating your OS.

i tried the following
I don’t think it is ok (?) I am going to check HA

makis@makis-NUC7PJYH:~$ apt-get update

these are the logs from HA
