Hey! I have a zigbee network with 34 devices. My problem is that my zigbee sensors keep changing their binding device randomly.
Simple explenation of my setup:
HA server + conbee2 in basement. I have 3 Floors(basement, first and 2nd) in my house and an Ikea zigbee repeater on each floor. My idea was to have a repeater as the main connection point on each floor.
But sometimes my sensors, motion sensor e.g, reconnect to some random device/zigbee router, sometimes one thats placed across the house, even though the repeater is 2 meters away without a wall or anything between.
Is there eny way to “force” a sensor to connect to a specific router? Or what can i do?
No this is called mesh and they find the BEST
way their selves, at least, i haven’t figured out yet a solution for this. It would be nice to have a preferred parent configuration for each node (end device and router)
@alex_00 or @anon63427907 did any of you found any way around this issue?
I have exactly the same issue: EndDevice’s get connected to the coordinator (conbee2) 2 floors away and with a very weak signal, instead of connecting to closer Routers/Repeaters that are closer and can provide stronger signal.
