High accuracy mode enabled but 'unavailable'

Hi, I have high accuracy mode enabled (android) but the status is ‘false’

When I go to the logs, it says, ‘high accuracy mode become unavailable’

I have no idea why this may be. I haven’t set any conditions to turn it on or off. I don’t even know how to.

It takes about 15 minutes or so for HA to notify the app to enable the sensor. Also if you never turned on high accuracy mode then it probably has no value to send back to HA.

you may want to read more about high accuracy mode to see if you actually need it: Location | Home Assistant Companion Docs

If you are having location issues in general I would start here: Troubleshooting | Home Assistant Companion Docs

I have had high accuracy mode enabled all day and the logs show that it has never actually come on. I am having location issues, I require accurate zone entry notification and I am eventually going to have a wide zone to turn on high accuracy so it can detect when I enter the smaller zone.

For now I’m just trying to get high accuracy mode to turn on 24hrs to see if I can get it to work.

Edit: I’ve gone through troubleshooting and everything is set ok. Checked crash logs and cannot see anything out of the ordinary. What I did notice is that Android says that the companion app almost always requesting accurate location data and receiving it yet when I click on my profile in the companion app it says my location was last updated 6 hours ago. So it would seem that the companion app is obtaining my accurate location but not reporting it back to HA. ?

why dont you share the logs and hide your GPS data so we can see whats going on. The entire decision making process is printed including when a location update is received and whether or not the update is sending along with high accuracy information. Make sure the logs generate for about 5-10 minutes.
