High CPU temperature NucI5

Hello, my nuc has since yesterday (new dashboard) built, a high temperature …
Can this be related or does the hardware have a problem?

I have already disassembled the part and blown it out with compressed air…

I would like to hear your opinion… or should I restore a backup from before?

Thanks a lot in advance !
And Merry Christmas!

In my opion you can leave it for a few days just to see how things will work.
If cpu temperature doesn’t drop than you know what you will have to do.
Disamble the part, clean heat sink and put new thermal paste.
And Merry Christmas

So you mean it has nothing to do with the dashboard. The rise was sudden from 45 to 80 degrees. That speaks more for thermal paste. Ah, the stupid thing is that the fan just jumps up all the time.

Well you can always check is some process using a lot of cpu. But if it isn’t and you have a high cpu temperature that indicates some hardware issue. It might be a fan but usually its clogged heat sink and thermal paste.

I think it looks well…

So, restore Backup an restore the new Dashboard… temperature ist normal!!!

It’s very unlikely that dashboard can cause high cpu temperature. Dashboard is just a web page.

I don’t no…

but take a look at the screenshot.

Maybe too much templates I have used in the new Dash?

For me this make no sense. Maybe I’m wrong about it, but dashboard is just a web page. And this is not a web page that will drawn you hardware resources.
Problem is somewhere else. Some thing is miss configured, your heat sink is clogged, thermal paste is gone…
But I wont bet that dashboard is making you processor run on high temp.
And edit:
On one of my laptops heat sink was so dirty that it looked like someone had a barbecue on it.
On desktop comp heat sink had so much dust and mud in it, that I had to vacuum it and than wash it.
I think that no compress air can clean that much dirt. In my opinion safe bet will be on heat sink.

Actually, I do have exactly that issue. That the UI of Home Assistant is making my CPU and fan go bananas both the HA server and the client browsing HA. Not sure if my problems are similar to the ones in the first post:
