High network traffic with Unifi Network

Hey everyone,
I have seen in the last days, that my HA-VM in Truenas has a quite high network traffic.
So I have started disabling and enabling integrations one by one.
My first idea was, that probably the Unifi Protect (camera) integrations is causing it with video-streams.
But it was not - this has not given any improvement, but instead it was the Unifi network.

Now I found that at some point I enabled the measurement of per-port-traffic.
Since it is updated very fast and often, I have removed it from the config - but still the traffic is in the range of 1.5-3mbit/s for the Unifi Network integration:
Does anyone have a proper idea what is causing this?

I know - any integration will cause some traffic, but to reach mbit/s instead of several kbit/s?

See the screenshot, where I disabled the integration when the surge is visible:

I recently installed the Unifi Network integration, and it seems to update every sensor every 2 seconds. Between my Dream Machine Pro SE, a 24 port switch, a couple APs, and the cable modem, the integration really seemed to hammer the CPU on the Dream Machine (like 30 - 40% more than without the integration). I even had some internet outages with the integration running. Once I disabled it, everything ran much better on the UniFi side.

I was hoping to automate the power cycling of some things on PoE, but it’s not worth it for the instability the integration appears to be causing. I might look at it again later when I don’t have other things I want to do.
