In some specific use cases, there’s a need to create nested horizontal stack cards within a vertical stack card. (i.e., TV, Roku, receiver, or general AV controls). This GUI configuration can quickly become disorienting depending on the level of complexity.
It would be a great value-add for the GUI to highlight the area currently selected within the nest to show what you’re actually configuring; such as outlining in yellow, for example.
In my case, I’ve edited software-based remotes in HA and inadvertently changed the wrong line, rendering the entirety of the remote broken. And it had taken me hours to backtrack to eventually find my mistake. A visual queue (yellow outline) on the right-hand pane showing the output currently selected would be wonderful.
