Hikvision api can be easly intergrated with home assistant

Hi, I would like to share some knowledge on this.
Hikvision has something called ISAPI that should be easy to intergrate with NVR or Camera, Currently we do not use this method.

Since ISAPI has multiple links depending on what device your using.
i wil provide documentation on this.

The protocol for DVR and NVR may be different. example a hyberd system that has cat 5 or coax.

If you are a Hikvision partner. You can easily pull updated ISAPI for all models.

I implemented API calls in the past with Hikvision, So i know how there API works.

I was thinking of the logic, Get device info,
Is it a cam, a nvr, a dvr? it will check by trying all links, If it comes back then use it.

Please be advised, in order to use ISAPI, WebAccess must be enabled.

Ideal use case for NVR, Scan all cams, list them, Add them all or select. ETC.

Once selected, Do you want to add to dashboard.

Both of the hikvision integrations already in home assistant use ISAPI.

Hmmm, in that case i am missing something as in my case, The cameras, Non of the info show up in my home assistant. The only thing that shows is “hikvision activated”.
