Hisense AEH-W4G1

Integration module Hisense AEH-W4G1 and AEH-W0G1. Module is used as a wifi remote control for air conditions of many manufacturers. Hisense has his own application ConnectLife.

We tried to get the AEH-W4G2 going however it uses a completely different app and protocol to earlier units.

Hi there, is there a way to make it work with the new app as it uses the same 2.4 mhz network protocol. Regarding the configuration “GitHub - deiger/AirCon: Scripts for controlling Air Conditioners, e.g. with HiSense modules.” I have managed to configure it in HA the only thing I am challenging with is this error?

In the Integration HiSense Air Conditioners E1022 12:55:24.811 discovery.py:71] No device is configured! Please configure a device first.

Here is my config;
log_level: INFO
mqtt_host: localhost
mqtt_user: “null”
mqtt_pass: “null”
port: 8888
app:

  • username: username
    password: password
    code: oem-eu

I have a use different login methods with mqtt_user and pasword with credentals and “null” same result.
I cant find any solution on the error what so ever.
I have followed discussions regarding this topic. with still no luck.

Any help will be appreciated.

Hi all

I’ve asked ConnectLife support if they have plans to release their API or any connection method and here is their answer:

"At the moment, it is not possible to integrate ConnectLife in any smart home system, as we do not have a »public API«.

I can not confidently say for the future, so at the moment, unfortunately, it is not possible."

So, do not buy HISENSE air machines if you plan to connect to ANY domotic system. No posibility to integrate.

I hope they change his mind, for their own business shake…
Thank you, community!

By the way, I bought the old AEH-W4G1 module, but I got instead the “new” and incompatible with Home Assistant AEH-W4G2, so I guess there is no posibility of geting a working machine if not re-using old adapters.

well… i am trying to bring this back to life…

has ANYONE managed to fix this? because i just got a Hisense with AEH-W4G2

Not in my knowledge. Best way for now: Do not buy Hisense machines or any ConnectLife device…

What about integration with AEH-W4G1. Are there any successful examples?

Hi

AFAIK, AEH-W4G1 was working. But I’ve never tried myself. Good luck!

The manual doesn’t really give much info about it either.

don’t know if there are any news or other solutions that we could use (like a different usb adapter) on the Hisense AC units in order to integrate them on HASS

Speaking of which I have my hisense dehumidifier working, if you need to add additional support you can follow oyvindwe/connectlife-ha: ConnectLife integration for Home Assistant (github.com)
