History data from offline sensors

Hi,

first of all: thank you for the great work! After a few problems my HA installation works as expected (thank you community!).

BUT, I cannot solve one issue:

I receive some values from a sensor which is not connected to HA all the time. actually i got the sensor with me, the sensor tracks some values (im my case: BG values) all day long. When I am connected to HA (eg when I come home at night), I want to send all collected data to HA to get a nice chart.

it’s the HA REST sensor.

due to the fact, that I developed the sensor, it is possible to provide a JSON string (or what ever is needed).

Home Assistant isn’t that great at displaying much detailed historical data… Maybe just shove all the data in InfluxDB and use e.g, Grafana or something to browse historical data points.
