Hi all,
a slightly silly question, as I am a total noob around this topic and trying to get started. Does the HA take care of the history data capture and storage if you make your own DIY sensor with ESPHome? So you just have to make a circuit board for ESP32 or such and other sensor components you want to use. Of course also power source. Then edit appropriate config yamls and once the DIY sensor is connected to HA, then you are already quite done and HA starts to collect and store your history data of each sensor attached and configured to your circuit board?
All good tips and links for good esphome multisensor projects and door / contact sensors are welcome
