Hi all. Currently testing a Hive dual channel thermostat connected locally via Z2M (no hub). Everything seems to work ok, with a single exception. The thermostat should turn on heating at 6:30am (which it does). However, the target temperature in the climate entity is changed exactly one hour earlier, at 5:30am. Anyone has an explanation for this behavior? Heating is turned off at 11:00pm and the target temperature is changed correctly for this step.
I also have the dual channel receiver (SLR2c) and this is not an issue for me:
- Can you check HA’s time (I know you wrote that the 11pm was OK) but you never know. You can see this in
sensor.time
if you are using thetime_date
integration. - I assume this screenshot is from the history tab? In order to rule-out a graphing error, can you try to show the same data using
apexcharts-card
ormini-graph-card
(as I assume thehistory-graph
card uses the same engine as the history tab and so would display the same error).
Checking that this isn’t part of the problem; do you know why the temperature starts to rise before the heating comes on? It’s as if the setpoint (purple) line is correct and the Hive action (orange area) is incorrect.
Thanks for your input.
- HA time is correct.
- Tested with mini graph card and the temperature change time is the same: 5:30am.
- I am only testing the thermostat for now, it is not connected to the boiler (will actually install it at a different location). What you indicated in the red circle actually shows the real thermostat kicking in.
