i would like to install home assist with homebridge parallel.
Should i use the home assist OS or should I rather install the another os and install home assist as core system and install the homebridge afterwards?
On HAOS it is possible, but will cause your instance to get an ‘unsupported’ flag. (Which AFAIK is just a warning flag, doesn’t necessarily mean function is impeded just that it can be impeded)
Again, unsupported, do at your own risk, you shouldn’t do this and expect help with issues etc etc
I did this by installing Portainer from GitHub - alexbelgium/hassio-addons: My home assistant addons, and then in Portainer making my own Homebridge container.
You can do this in a supported manner all on one machine too, but HAOS can’t be running on the bare metal. Need to run it in a VM, and then either in another VM or on your hypervisor/base-os directly run Homebridge.
I suggest trying to stick to supported methods whenever possible.
