Home Assistant and multiroom audio centralized

Hello everyone,

I am looking for an optimal integration for a large house configured with 18 audio distribution zones, featuring built-in speakers in the walls and ceilings of almost every room. There are three 5.1 home cinema zones.

The zones:

  • Living Room
  • Dining Room
  • Kitchen
  • Outdoor 1
  • Outdoor 2
Can each stream a different music source or the same music source.

The zones:

  • Parents’ Room
  • Child’s Room 1
  • Child’s Room 2
  • Child’s Room 3
  • Child’s Room 4
  • Office 1
  • Office 2
  • Office 3
Can choose the source coming from the central rack.

As audio sources, there are:

  • Autonomic Control MMS5
  • Spotify
  • Apple Music
  • etc.

As video sources, there are:

  • Netflix
  • Apple TV
  • Pickx (BelgacomTV)

Currently, the client has an installation based on Crestron:

  • SWAMPE 24 for audio
  • DM6x6 for video selection

Given the constant integrations of Crestron, and the interfacing only on tablets or smartphones in the Crestron app, the client would like to explore the use of Home Assistant for more flexibility, seeing as they also have KNX, a Unifi network, and surveillance cameras under Unifi.

What would be your recommendations for evolving the Crestron elements (SWAMPE and DM6x6)?
