Iam rather new to the HA topic and Iam struggling integrating my PV system.
First of all: my pv system consists of the Sunny Tripower 20000, the SunnyBoy Storage 3.7 and the Sunny Home Manger 2.0.
With the SMA energy meter AddOn Iam able to see the grid consumption / supply.
For the rest of the data (SoC battery, current pv power, …) I need to connect to the Inverter itself (Tripower 20000) and the battery inverter (Sunny Boy Storage) and that is my problem right now.
I tried the SMA integration; there I need to login with the correct IP adress and the password. There is always “No connection” as an error message. I thinkt the Tripower 20000 has no web interface so I cannot use the official SMA integration.
The battery inverter has a a web interface and I still cannot login via the SMA integration in HA. If I use the IP address from the battery inverter in my browser Iam able to login.
Then I tried to reach the inverter via SunSpec; same problem “No connection”.
I activated Modbus on the inverter; doesnt change anything.
Does anyone has the same pv configuration and could help?
Okay, I got the battery running with the SMA solar integration. Now “only” the inverter is missing. I have the correct ip address, the correct password and Iam still not able to connect.
Right now I have access to the battery data (through SMA Solar integration) and to the Home Manager (through SMA Energy meter app).
I tried to use SunSpec for the inverter. Iam not sure how to configure the integration?
After just activating all options I got 14 devices with 90 entities. Where do I see the current yield, daily yield etc.?
Hmmm. I was able to monitor the inverter via Sunspec for a day. I think after sunset the inverter shuts off some sensors and Sunspec loses the connection. After sunrise it does not work again.
