I have purchased a fan for my Home Assistant Blue (Odroid N2+), however, it does not run. I asked the guys from Hardkernel (Odroid maker) and they say they got no clue if Home Assistant allows you to control PWM. Any ideas?
It is mentioned by agners- “ Fan support with a tripping point of 65°C is in the current dev branch. So with the current 6.0.rc3 and the upcoming final release a fan should work.”
You can ask around in Home Assistant Operating System Github page on how to control/lower the temperature tripping point.
Some help here please. I have an odroid n2+ that I installed HA on. And after reading and following all the threads…I am still at a loss for how ro control the fan.
Do I need to set lower points and if so, where? Will any changes survive a reboot or restart?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
I was never able to control the fan directly from the board. I ended up buying a usb fan, which I plugged to one of the Odroid USB ports.
Really!? Ok. So could I use that method for the 80mm fan that is part of the case I purchased? And of course how/what pins in the usb did you use? Solder, crimp or did you buy a fan already configured?
As you can see, instructions would be great ! I do not want to damage the cpu board.
Ok, typed to fast. Amazon (of course) has bunch. Many thanks! I will no doubt go that route.
To bad, thought HA would.have included that feature.
Many thanks! Some times the most simple solutions fix the most perplexing problems.
