Home assistant cannot start after updating HAOS to 15.2

I’m running home assistant as a virtual machine on synology. Every couple of Updates result in home assistant refusal to start

After the update it tries to start

and then it gets to

And then nothing happens. I’m used to having to do a hard reboot of the virtual system a couple of times but this time again it does not work after several reboots.

Also I get

in some date snapshots.

Is there any way to make this work? In the past all I can do is roll back via the synology backups.

But Even rolling back does not mean it automatically starts up the first time even though the backup is from a time when it was running.

so I have two hour backups and I basically roll back every two hours and try three or four times until I get it starting again and then I never touch the update for a month

I’m back to 19th12am now. Still dead.

I have a similar issue. I have not found the best way of dealing with this ( (re)boot issues, how to debug - Installation - Home Assistant Community).

Doing a supervisor repair and or restart somehow does this trick for me.
try:

ha su repair

it can take some (long) time. and sometime it fails.
Another option is to do a supervisor restart:

ha su restart

or a core restart (not sure about the syntax):

ha core restart

I’m getting

and sometimes

But since these are actual Snapshots while it was working should they be working naturally? Apart from the fact that I didn’t reboot at that time

OMG after many many " powering on and off"

It’s fun to turn back on but of course now I am back to the old version and I guess I will not touch the HAOS update again. Thanks so much for that but how do we deal with this in the future?

This took half a day to fix

The supervisor will try 2 reboots, and if it is not successful, it will try the other ‘slot’ which is the prior version.
