Home Assistant Cast theme background/panel mode

Hi all,

I’ve managed to get my home assistant to cast to my google nest hub with no issues, however whenever I select a theme to apply to a specific lovelace page it only applies the theme to my cards, not the actual background.

It all appears fine on my laptop and iPhone so the theme is working correctly, it just doesn’t show up on the bacground of my Google Nest Hub.

Has anyone else had this issue? Is there an extra line that needs to be added to tell the nest hub to take the background settings?

Okay so it seems as though the reason this isn’t happening is because im using panel mode in my lovelace UI. When turn panel mode off it all seems to work nicely.

Anyone else had this issue and found a fix?

I’m not using panel mode but themes are not showing up. What do you have in your cast script?

Likewise here, any assistant would be appreciated. Trying to get a dark background for home assistant cast
