I have created a Nabu Casa trial account and I am logged in. But when I open the Home Assistant Cloud link and try to log in to the same Nabu Casa account on that page, I get a time out “cannot connect” message. Is there something else that I need to do?
Looks like I need to enable ipv6?
Tried disabling ipv6 on Home Assistant instance – still cannot connect to Home Assistant Cloud
Why?
What did your log say after you received the ‘cannot connect’ message. There’s. Probably some really juicy error messages there and without any of that were all out here literally guessing as to what could be the problem. It could be anything from a bad cable to ‘Klingons’ on the starboard bow right now…
Here’s the most recent log entry – I speak French and some German but not this!

Hi bobskitmore,
DNS server problems or did you wait a while between signup and first try. It may take the interwebs to catch up to address changes or something.
Think I waited. I checked a few more items, like the YAML config file and rebooted – same outcome. I created a Nabu Casa ticket with logs system info attached.
Still stuck in “cannot connect” territory – Nabu Casa suggested a DNS problem is the root cause. As suggested, I changed my Ubiquiti UDR router to use Cloudflare DNS – but unless I pay for a domain and add a DNS entry not sure that is a fix. Given up for now.
Tried one more test – connected my HA RPi 5 HA instance to my old ActionTec 3200m router and connected my desktop to 5g ActionTec wifi and the Nabu Casa cloud connection worked. So the problem with my wired local HA/Nabu Casa Cloud connection is somewhere within the Ubiquiti UDR router configuration.
