Home assistant cloud unable to refresh token error

I sometimes get issues with the home assistant cloud taking long to get connected.

I see the following in the logs

2019-08-03 23:51:28 WARNING (MainThread) [hass_nabucasa.iot] Unable to refresh token:

I see in Configuration > Home Assistant Cloud > Cloud connection status : connecting (for a long time)

Lastly I see this under the remote control

Remote access is being prepared. We will notify you when it's ready.

I can’t get my smartthings to get up and running as I also get this error and I think it is due to the long time the HA cloud takes to setup.

2019-08-03 23:50:06 DEBUG (MainThread) [homeassistant.components.smartthings] Cannot connect to host api.smartthings.com:443 ssl:None [Try again]

What could be the problem?

Figured out it was a darn DNS issue! Gosh I hate those! I have so many since i started changing where I had my PiHole install. You live and learn and tinker i suppose

Sorry to revive this old thread, but may I ask what the issue was exactly? I’ve been messing with my pihole as well and ran into the exact same issue. However, I can’t seem to figure out a resolution.
