Home Assistant Companion App - Microsoft Store - Stuck in demo mode

Hi all

My Home Assistant Companion App (Microsoft Store) is stuck in demo mode.

After setting up Duck DNS which is working for both iOS apps and the web portal for both local and remote access.

The windows desktop app does not give any option to configure the local or remote server url links like the iOS apps. It defaults to https://demo.home-assistant.io/profile assuming it can no longer find the local instance?

Note web portal does work on the same PC via https://redacted.duckdns.org

This was working beforehand no issues.

Any help appreciated re setting URL.

I cannot see any Home Assistant app in the Windows Store on desktop…

Are you referring to this HomeAssistant Local - Free download and install on Windows | Microsoft Store

This is not an official app by Nabu Casa. I wouldn’t use that.

I’d suggest logging onto HA in Edge and installing it from there as a web app. Operates with many native app features and will stay up to date.
