I’m looking at these two zwave controllers. Which is best? Both were recommended by Nabu Casa.
I have had the ZST39 for two years with no issues.
My zwave only consists of 2 fire detectors, and within easy range.
I started out with zst39 and it worked perfectly for me, I had it on a quality usb extension cable.
I bought the zwa2 when it came out, it also works perfectly fine.
I think really it comes down to your situation and preference;
If you want something small and inconspicuous then the zoos+extension cable can be easily hidden. Zwa2 is a bit bigger but is nice looking and well designed.
If you don’t need extended range, then zoos should be fine, zwa2 offers a larger and better antenna, so if you do have longer range needs, then zwa2 is a better choice.
With zwa2 you are also directly supporting nabu casa, which supports HA, so that is also nice to consider.
