Hi there,
Looking for a device to control the mix of my speakers. Currently my AV setup is a cheap panasonic 2.1 speaker system with an RCA ins which takes de-embedded HDMI audio in one input and the other is a media player (soon to be a volumio/equivalent but for simplicity sake lets say this is just an aux in for music). My problem is that I can only listen to one output at a time and sometimes when I’m gaming I might want to have music playing through the speakers as well as having the game audio through them as well, however I don’t want these both to be at maximum loudness for obvious reasons. Does anyone know of a ‘networked’ box that would take say 4 analog audio inputs and output a mix of them that could be controlled by Home Assistant or app or equivalent (to be honest I don’t mind writing an integration for it) but I don’t really know what this kind of product would be called besides a pro-live sound dante mixer that takes ~20 inputs and costs thousands $$$. I am a DJ and often see sound techs walking around with a tablet controlling the mix etc so I know this type of product is probably available somewhere I just can’t seem to yield anything suitable on a google search haha.
I know that software controlled spotify etc is an option but not 100% of my gaming is done on a computer anyway and I have just found this to be finicky. I want it to be pretty easy for friends/guests to use as well and can just connect via airplay to enable the playback of all types of content.
I also don’t mind building my own ESP controlled digital potentiometer board for these inputs however I am only 1/4th of an engineer as of next week so don’t want lose precious sound quality due to my lack of proper circuits and signals training.
Cheers
