Home assistant core update is running already for 25 minutes, is that normal?

I started the home assistant core update 2024.2.4 some while ago and it is still running for more then 25 minutes, is that normal?

Can I stop the update or can I reset my raspberry Pi ?
After reset does home assistant restart automatically with the previously core or do I have to restore a backup?

It should just restart, no need to do anything, normally.

I have no idea how long it will take on a pi as I don’t use one but normally only take 5 - 10 minutes at most.

Try refreshing your browser as this can sometimes not update.

After refreshing the browser, I can’t connect to the raspberry.
In previous updates it took about 5-10 minutes, but now… a lot longer.
I try to reset my raspberry and see what is happening…

How big is your database? That makes all the difference! When my DB was 12GB it would take 20-30 minutes to restart, 30+ for a backup. Given that an update also backs up, a large DB could be your issue. It was at that point I went with MariaDB, trimmed everything down to ~2GB and started making much more use of InfluxDB for long term reporting.

have the same issue here updating to 2024.5.0, had to hard reset, it still works with 2024.4.0.
Did u manage to figure whats wrong?
