I’m having some issues with my HA as I need to restart the system every two weeks or so. it gets stuck in a weird state where I can access it but some of the frontend is broken and when I try to go to the settings pages they’re half-loaded or completely not functioning.
I’ve tried clean my instance from HACS integrations that I no longer use, but it keeps happening.
I run HA OS on a RSPI 4 4GB with an SSD, I keep everything up to date but this doesn’t seem to affect my issue.
I could be wrong but the logs makes it seem like either your drive is full or is going bad. The errors definitely seem rooted in errors reading and writing the temp files.
Thank you very much for your reply.
I’ll check but I don’t think it’s full, it’s a 250GB SSD and I don’t have that many devices/automations/etc…
I actually am planning on building a home server and moving my instance there so let’s hope that solves it.
the problem might not be the amount of devices / automations.
I don’t know if you have set your database to store a larger amoun of data, for example for a year or so instead of the default 14 days of history?
This could lead to a growing database size, which will fill the disk space.
Also the amount of Backups could fill up the disk space at all.
you can check the disk usage within the system page:
and then, there is still the possibility of a failing drive / sd card… depending on your exact setup.
Your log file does clearly show some storage related issues - for example:
I’ve checked, I’m at 4% used space.
I thought about reusing this drive in the home server but at this point, that might not be the best idea.
I’ve backups on Gdrive so I’ll keep it running until the server is ready and hope it doesn’t die too soon.
Thanks again guys!
