I tried opening HA in the web browser in my Samsung smart TV only to discover it gets as far as showing the blue bar at the top of the white screen - the same as is happening to fully kiosk on an android tablet. In both cases the user and password dialog doesn’t appear.
Is there a way around the authentication?
Can you install another browser app?
One that supports javascript?
Chrome or firefox for example.
You may also have some luck changing the frontend javascript_version
Not on the TV as far as I know @tom_l. It works as expected on my computer and tablet browsers, with the exception of fully kiosk on an Android tablet.
I thought it would be useful as the home page on the TV web browser.
Try opening the states UI instead of Lovelace by adding /states at the end of the URL. Most TV browsers are quite limited and outdated and HASS uses quite recent web technologies for the UI.
