Home Assistant Glow - resistor?

Hi,

I’ve got this thing already working for a few months, but during another project I read that led should always have a resistor for protecting the led and the microcontroller (restricting the current). The glow design (link below) does not have one. Should it?

Answering myself. No, the led is connected to 3.3V which is just a bit over the required voltage.
