Hi. I’m going to arrange uninterruptible power supply for the router and Home Assistant Green using the Meanwell ADD-55A power supply. But it outputs a voltage of 13.8 volts. Will it be safe for HA Green?
If it’s a Meanwell, it very likely has an adjuster control.
That said, 12 volt devices are likely to work in the range of +/-20%, so 14.4 volts.
refer to the product documentation because I am not a Nabu Casa representative, but I believe this to be true.
As SG said: there’s a trimmer to set output voltage. I don’t know ha green, but i’d say it has switch mode power supply at input, so 14.4V will be ok without excess heat.
At a last resort there’s always an option to use two or three diodes (appr.0.7V drop per diode) in a series to lower voltage.
But, if you didn’t buy PS yet i’d got for ups version instead, like THIS ONE . It will save you from power outages.
