I was using Ikea:s gateways functionality to get my lights etc into Apple Homekit.
I was not impressed with the stability of their implementation. I often had to reset the gateway because it was not responding in Homekit.
So I decided to try Home Assistant instead.
So far I have been impressed with HA. The IKEA-stuff showed up “automagically” in HA and the integration to iOS and Homekit was easy to set up. I also (so far) have not needed to reset the IKEA gateway.
The only issue I have is that a light that has been turned of electrically or even disconnected and correctly is shown as Unavailable in Home Assistant, that light is still shown as available in Homekit.
Is that a bug, intended feature or something I can tweak individually via device customization?
