I have same issues since updating to 0.112 and still broken on 0.112.1. HACS, Tesla, Geolocation not starting.

Thanks

ive rolled back - for some reason, a load of my core folders got deleted (like HACS) somehow?!

im now going to go and see what changes i need to make, before doing the upgrade again.

I still have the same issues even upgrading to version 0.112.2 and to the new HassOS 4.11.

I am having the same issues - never seems to start fully, nothing obvious in the logs. Certain components (Blink, Tesla, HACS) and some sensors just never load.

Strangely, after a few restarts in 0.112.1 eventually everything loaded, but on upgrading to 0.112.2 it all broke again.

I canā€™t see an obvious causeā€¦

Have now rolled back to 0.111.4 and everything is working.

Will wait to see if others find a solution before trying again.

All your errors are in specific components. Withings and smarthings. Both are python errors. You should write up the issues attaching the errors.

Youā€™ll have to post your logs. They are most likely completely unrelated to OPs errors.

Thanks. Unfortunately as it was so screwed I rolled back without keeping the logs. But there were no obvious errors in either the HA or supervisor logs to explain why the frontend wouldnā€™t load.

I will try again with the next update and post logs if the problem persists

You should always check the log file, not whatā€™s in the UI.

Soā€¦after rolling back to 0.111.4 and tidying up my config a bit to suppress a few errors in the log, I waited for 0.112.3 to be released.

I ran the upgrade again, and hit exactly the same problem. Left stuck with the message ā€œhome assistant is startingā€¦ā€ and a bunch of components never start (Tesla, some sensors, blink etc). Still no errors in the logs, HA:

I waited a lot longer this time, and eventually HA restarted itself and rolled back automatically to 0.111.4. Supervisor log didnā€™t really give ny clues as to why:

Odd.

Hopefully future updates will now be smootherā€¦

setup: VM on VirtualBox, core 4.11, version 112.4
fresh install, install in order, Samba, Terminal & SSH, Mosquitto, File editor, Node-RED and HACS
after put the HACS folder and make the host first restart, every still ok, when I add the HACS in the integrations, wait finish background jobs and restart again, bummmm, the message starting never finish.

point 1: if i go in configuration, server controls and reboot from there, reboot HA, not the hostā€¦ works

point 2: if a shutdown VM (hassio / System / Shutdown Host), and go to Virtual Box and start againā€¦ works

conclusion: i think, in my case, only with HACS, the problem is in rebootā€¦ maybe shutdown has some improvments that reboot has notā€¦ anyway, the version 112 has an issue but i think with this above, maybe you guys can use 112.

I seem to be having the same issue, I had already been running 0.112.0 and didnā€™t remember having the issue throughout beta or at release so I thought I would try reverting to 0.112.0 using

ha core upgrade --version 0.112.0

With 0.112.0 installs complete startup as expected upgrade past that version with no config changes and I have the ā€œHome Assistant is starting, not everything will be available until it is finished.ā€ message forever. This is the same on two installs, my ā€œdev/testingā€ (x86_64 vm) install and my ā€œproductionā€ ( install Pi3)

Can reproduce the exact same issue.

same here, canā€™t go back since it blocks the snapshot restoreā€¦

0.112.4 turns up the logging level so you can see which integration is the culprit that is blocking startup.

Iā€™m having this same issue. As such none of my automations are working anymore.

The automations themselves work as I can execute them manually and they do the right things, but they just don;t trigger automatically.

This is an absolute mess? Iā€™ve spent an entire day trying to get it working. Iā€™d like to start all over again, but I donā€™t want to lost my entire setup. It took me aages to get this all right and overnight itā€™s all stuffed!

Iā€™ve got no idea how to roll back, itherwise I would.

Automations donā€™t trigger until startup as been completed.

Is there anything helpful in the logs?

Try removing any custom components if you have anything that is not from core.

I managed to restore from an older snapshot and it seems to be running again. I then updated to 112.4 and I seem to be ok again.

Iā€™ve got Log Viewer installed and the amount of stuff itā€™s spewing out is just scary! It seems to be generating a massive number of errors. By way of example ā€¦

And thereā€™s LOTS more. It just keeps spewing messages. Iā€™m pretty sure thatā€™s not normal.

Does anyone have any advice on how I can save my configuration, integrations, and so on ā€¦ rebuild the HASSIO server and reload my config?

Delete your home-assistant_v2.db and restart HA.
