"Home Assistant" network device showing in Windows PCs on the network

Hi,

I have HA running on my home network, and on all Windows PCs on the network I see a “Home (Home Assistant” icon when I browse to the “Network” folder. Let me show a screen-shot since it will make things clearer.

I want to disable this so it does not show on the computers on the network, how can I do that?

Hi, that’s a windows thing.

Especially if you run a samba service on the HA host.

I don’t think I am running any samba server on HA.

There a samba share addon and a samba backup integration.

But Windows also detects other services, like media players.
