How can I begin to debug this through the CLI?

delete your database and restart HA

depending on your install
in linux i would do a service hass status (i called my service hass)
and see what messages show up.

it seems that ssh access has been disturbed too so will have to do through cli. is it possible to delete db through cli?

Appears to be a malformed DB again. No idea how to fix this without SSH access

I already tried core rebuild but did not make a difference. AFAIK this problem has been solved as HA should archive the DB and create new one but this does not seem to be the case here
