Home Assistant not finding the server

Hey Y’all,

I recently added HA green to my home and I am pretty new at using it. I am trying to add my server to create home automation but I keep getting errors and I am not able to use the server. I currently use Xfinity and have tried Fing to find the IP address but it gives the same error codes.

Any advice or recomendations?

Could you give a bit more detail about what you are trying to do? What are the errors? HA Green is the server… :smile:

We need a LOT more.

Review the troubleshooting guide in the cookbook The Home Assistant Cookbook - Index

If you still need help after - we’ll need logs etc. To understand what’s going on.

Hey Jack,

I was able to figure it out. The issue I was having was not finding my server for the home assistant on my ipad. I tried using my MAC, and it worked perfectly. Now, I am setting it up.

Hey Nathan,

Thanks for the cookbook. I read into it a bit more and figured out the issue. I was having trouble with it on my iPad, but it works well on my MacBook.
