Home Assistant not working after 2022.7 update

Hi, I have updated to 2022.7 and received the notification for 2022.7.2 and tried to add an Aqara presence sensor, fp1, via zigbee2mqtt before installing the update. The fp1 was not seen and I received a fault which unfortunately I cannot remember. Now I cannot access my instance via my pc or mobile app, and none of my ESPHome devices are connected as their connection led is flashing. I have HA installed on an ssd in an Intel NUC. Has anyone got a solution, other than a fresh install?
Well after not connecting for hours, I awoke this morning to find ESPHome devices were now connected. But the Android app is not passing the handshake and all the 3rd party communications is not working, Smartthings, Google and Alexa.
Anyone got any suggestions? Please.

I think I may be running into the same issue: I have a NUC (8i3BEH) with HA OS at a remote place and few days ago I realised it was not accessible from the android app. I have the addin for regular backups to Google Drive, and last backup was done on 2022-07-08 1:00 am… I don’t remember well, but I think that I had manually said OK for the latest OS update…

… I came today physically to the place where the server is and plugged in a screen:

  1. it was trying to boot from PXE …
  2. I forced on BIOS to try my SSD first, and now it gets stuck on the startup menu (no reactions)
  3. If I remove my card, it then boots (and tries to boot from PXE…)

My boot is in UEFI with Secure Boot off.

I guess I have no choice but to do a fresh install and try to recover the backup (I think I need to find instructions for that as well)?

Any ideas are welcome!

—> Update: my NUC was getting stuck in boot because I accidentally activated Legacy Boot. Now it booted on a fresh 8.2 image (I hope to be able to restore my latest image).

----> Update 2: after restoring my latest image, all is working again.

After a day or two, I was able to gain access via my browser on my local pc, but not my android companion app. I re-installed the app, but it still didn’t connect. Then I had to set up a new user with admin access, then change the password on my owner account through the browser, now everything is OK.
I tend to have app access issues with every update, which takes a couple of days to get resolved.

Well the 2022.08 update may be the first update that hasn’t upset my access to my instance. Everything has continued to function normally. :grinning::+1:
