I have HA OS installed on a RPi 4 and everything has been working perfectly. However, the OS will not update from version 10.5 onward. All other updates run just fine, but the OS update won’t install.
When I attempt to install, either through GUI or through terminal, there are no errors reported. The process takes a few minutes, the RPi reboots and then I’m still on 10.5.
Any ideas what could cause this, and how I could troubleshoot what’s going on here?
Old thread, but still relevant. Having the same issue. RPI4, running Home Assistant OS. Not possible to update. Downloads the update, but after reboot the same old version is installed.
LOL, same problem here. I noticed today because HA Core is not getting updates since 2025.8 due to old HA OS. Any known fix? Copilot suggests to run fsck of the SD card (RPI 4 here).
I reply myself. I updated manually to 15.2 (with command: ha os update --version 15.2), as recommended by copilot, and then from there I had 16.3 available, see capture:
