Home Assistant OS update 8.0 stuck

Hi,

I am using Home Assistant on x86 laptop. Installed using Generic x86-64 - Install Home Assistant Operating System.

I am trying to update Home Assistant OS to 8.0 using the GUI. I checked my configuration using Check Home Assistant configuration add on as mentioned on Common Tasks - Operating System.

The update gets stuck and I don’t see lights blinking on the ethernet port so I think it looses internet connection.

No particular reason why I am updating to the latest. Saw the update notification, clicked install and got stuck.

Any help is much appreciated.

Hi,
I haven’t installed the 8.0 update yet, maybe because I found some already existing issues on github regarding HA OS 8.0 boot issues.
Would suggest to have a look at the issues there first until this thread starts growing.

I have the same problem. The error is
Error returned from Supervisor: System is not ready with state: setup

How can I downgrade?

I don’t know. I didn’t have to downgrade. When I force rebooted my laptop, HA came up with HAOS 7.6.

Solved with HAO S8.1 upgrade.
