Home Assistant OS upgrade from Supervised

Hopefully this is the right place for this…

Background:
I am currently running a Supervised instance on a MacMini running Debian (running flawlessly)
I noticed that there is now a generic x86-64 version of Home Assistant OS available (recommended)

Questions:
Does the generic x86-64 version work on the MacMini?
Is there an upgrade path to go from Supervised to Home Assistant OS (my setup is complex so not interested in starting over)?
If yes, is this process documented somewhere that you could point me to?

On some yes, on others no.

Have a read of this topic:

Most of that thread is pretty dated and seems to be talking about installing without Home Assistant OS. I have it working flawlessly as a supervised install on Debian on the MacMini. Just trying to figure out if I can / should go with a Home Assistant OS installation.

I don’t know much about mac mini’s, but to get the generic x86-64 version to work, the first question to be asked : is there uefi on-board ? If only bios, don’t even try, it will not work.
