Good morning folks, my RPI was freezed fourth consecutive time in a row. So I am going to try the downgrading @jockesoft recommended and will tell you tomorrow if there is a change. Logs are free of any suspicious.
@Klabatzie I am not sure we have the same problem as I don’t have access to RPI at all, even ping does not work.
Stefan Agner: This issue is related to freezes with zram decompression failure, so make sure to check if you have this errors in the Host log to make sure its this actual issue.
A fix for zram decompression failure will be in 5.10 onwards.
Closing on 2 full days of uptime now after the downgrade from 5.9 -> 5.8. No problems seen at all so atleast for me it seem like there are some issue in 5.9 causing my RPi to completely freeze after ~10hours. Will stay at 5.8 since it seem more stable.
I’m relatively new to HA.
I’m running HA on a Raspberry model 4.
At this moment, I’m only using the integrations Node-red, Denon Heos, Onvif, Zwave, KNX.
I still have plenty of RAM, SSD available. CPU % is always less than 10%.
I’m using the latest stable prod versions.
The core on my Raspberry hangs nearly every week, and stops doing automation or measuring.
A ping to the PI still is OK. A connection with the UI times-out. Until now, I’m always doing a hard reboot (power off). But this empties also the log file
Is there a way to keep an archive of the log files? So that at least I can try to find the problem in the older log file from before the hard reboot.
Does a watchdog mechanism exists for the Core on my PI, which reboots automatically?
my HA has been constantly freezing (not accessible) since version 4.9. There was some memory issue, which was the cause for some but apparently not for me. So I was running 4.8 and have been trying to update, when there was a new version (to 5.0, then 5.10, then to 5.11 then to 5.12) and there is still no solution. I am running RPi 4.
