Home Assistant & Roku

Has anyone been able to get their instance of HA up onto a Roku TV? Like building a Roku App that connects to HA. I haven’t found one, just checking to see if there’s one I’m missing. I created a “Scoreboard” dashboard where I can follow specific sports teams and it updates live - so I have a scoreboard for my specific teams I want to follow. Figured it’d be nice if I could get that up on a roku tv to use as my “scoreboard” during games.

There’s a native HA ROKU integration, Roku - Home Assistant and a ROKU channel that allows you to cast to ROKU GitHub - MedievalApple/Media-Assistant: A Roku channel that allows you to stream/play media from a URL using Http Post Requests. · GitHub. Media-Assistant also has a Music Assistant player source.

There may be others but these serve me well enough for my needs.

Yeah, that’s not what I’m looking for though. i want to be able to display my dashboard up on the tv. I’m not worried about playing any media. Just to display a dashboard. If I was going to go the casting route, I’d just leave my chromebook hooked up to the tv via hdmi.

Would it be possible to find a PC (or a VM, or an Android, or Chromebook like you have) to visit HA Dashboard, make it full screen, and then screen mirroring to Roku?

I know this is the casting route.

With so many channels/apps on Roku there must been some “web browser” apps somewhere running on Roku, right? Or have Roku been locking down its channels/apps…?

From what I understand there’s no browser app whatsoever for a roku tv. I guess I’ll either just keep my chromebook hooked up to it or try to build my own app. Thanks though!
