Home Assistant server on an AMD chip?

Hi guys. Are you using an AMD processor in the Home Assistant server? How energy efficient it is when idle. Does such a solution have disadvantages? This is a theoretical question, as I am comparing Intel and AMD solutions for myself. If you have any advice on this, please share

Hi Bogdan, of course there are many users who run HA on an AMD cpu.
I think the same goes for HA as for other systems: your OS is the key factor here and the load.
So the general info about about power usage will also apply for HA.

To put it in some perspective. I have i3, ha is running in container on linux server, have a network printer and two routers. Energy consumption is between 0.95 kw. and 1 kw. daily for all devices.

what do you use as a Home assistant server?

hp desktop with two ssd and 8 gb ram
