Home Assistant, Tasmota, Powermeter, statistics-graph

Hello,

I’m kinda lost at this, so I need to ask.

I did use the search function and I did find some answers. However, they are all from 2021 and the way using the customization.yml is no longer possible.

I have a tasmota hooked up to the IR interface of my power meter. It sends the data via MQTT - and I see the current kWh in Home Assistant.

Now I simply want to see the used kWh / day. So I tried to set up a “statistics-graph”, but my sensor is not shown. I read the site “why my sensor is not shown?” and if I understood correctly, I need to tell Home Assistant some kind of “unit” (?) - so kWh.

I tried so much to get the sensor to show up in “statistics-graph”, but now I’m lost.

Can someone please explain what I have to change in to make Home Assistant happy? I just want to see how much kWh I use per day…

Martin

Use a Utility Meter.

Feed it your Tasmota energy sensor, give it a daily cycle. This will create an energy sensor that resets at midnight every day.
