Sorry, I don’t speak emoji, but I’ll do my best to decipher your pictogram-laden post.
No, being a “financial contributor to the foundation” doesn’t entitle you to some special release version. You’re on the same release cycle as the rest of us common mortals. No one forces you to update immediately, and there’s a release post where you can safely monitor issues before you do if you’re not actively participating in the beta program.
Your “return on investment” is exactly what it says on the tin - you get access to HA cloud’s perks (Alexa/Google, WebRTC and encrypted cloud backups). No more, no less.
You seem to be purposely ignoring my explanation that Z2M is not a core HA integration and any decisions taken are outside the control of “the foundation” or HA. If you burst a tyre due to potholes on your street, would you go and complain to your car tricycle manufacturer?
Similarly, your obscure mention of a “baffling return process” makes no sense when they were completely transparent about the issue and even agreed to cover returns for five years after purchase. All they asked you to do is get in touch with the seller, because they did not handle direct sales themselves in the first place.
As of time of writing, you seem to have exactly 3 posts in the 7 years you joined this forum, two of which are in this thread. Are you here to troll, or do you have some kind of (emoji-riddled) point to make about your perceived entitlement?
